60’s bear parade
I don’t know a lot about my mom’s parents, my grandparents, because I grew up in East Tennessee and they lived in Taiwan. One story I remember about my Agong (chinese grandfather) is that he and my mom made yarn couch covers together when my mom was growing up. I saw them once. My mom tried to give them to me, but I couldn’t really imagine using really loopy green and orange placemats to cover my couch. But they must’ve affected me in a way I didn’t expect.
Yarn: Blue Skies Worsted Hand Dyes in Burnt Orange and Green
Pattern: Baby Bobbi Bear
I finished all threee bobbi bears right before Christmas. The first was gifted to the newest nephew. These two 60’s bears were Christmas gifts to my two boys and they’ve already had lots of cuddles. This was a great pattern and even better yarn. Buttery soft and a beautiful sturdy fabric. I’d love to make a cardigan of the stuff someday.
I have given away so many gifts that I didn’t document – pretty soon I won’t even remember what I’ve made if I don’t keep up blogging about it. So, here I am committing to remember even if it’s only for me and the few friends who can laugh at my yarn habit.
