I’m not very good at this taking a picture of myself thing, but here’s what I’ve got.

I have one better. I’m loving the vacant stare.

I had a big Sunday morning volunteering at church and the way I look is pretty much the way I felt – brain dead. But it was worth it.
This is my first top down raglan. It is really fun and the fit is great so far. My last two sweaters were too big, so I went a size down. More to come when I get a better picture.

I moved last October with very little yarn. Somehow over the summer I created quite a stash – way more than I really know what to do with. I better get to work.
I received my package to finish up Bobbi Bear a couple of weeks ago and I added enough for two more Bobbi bears.
For some reason Bobbi 1 still doesn’t have eyes, but he’s done in every other way. Two and three I won’t finish until a little closer to YS’s(Younger Son) b-day in November. (Ok, I’m obviously not the clever writer who gives everyone interesting names, like He Who Wears Verwhatzit.
Speaking of Wendy, I just started on The Not-So-Shrunken Cardi. I’m loving the yarn.
I’ve made a tiny bit of progress…
I’m looking forward to Fall. A friend told me yesterday that Fall is a time for new beginnings. Seems kind of funny since fall is the beginning of our part of the earth taking a rest after a busy spring and summer, but it’s true for me. My ES (elder son) started pre-school this week, church small group and my band are in full swing, and I feel like I’m anticipating new things. I want to be ready for what God has in store for me and get back on track being the person God wants me to be. And, of course, to knit like the wind.

When my ES (elder son) was two, we took him on his first real vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. Whenever we left the hotel he screamed, “I want to go back to vacation!” He thought vacation meant the hotel pool.

I feel like yelling that right now.
A little knitting was done.

Pattern: Droplet Hat from Knitting Nature
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Aran Tweed in teal, a skein and a 1/2
The Skinny: This was a quick knit that had just enough detail to keep me interested. I got the yarn at a great price and I have tons of it! Enough for twenty hats in teal and 15 in green. I haven’t decided on the main projects for them yet, but if I don’t make matching hats for the whole family for Christmas, I’ll probably knit a cardigan or a jacket.

Ok, It’s not really done yet, but I’ll get around to seaming after Bobbie Bear #2 is completed.
